Dynastar's Legend series skis have been a dominant presence in big mountain skiing for close to a decade. The Legend 94 combines the power and stability inherent to the Legend series with a quick and versatile feel, creating a ski equally comfortable ripping the frontside, bombing down back bowls and picking apart tight chutes. The 3D Wood core construction, two layers of titanal and full-length vertical sidewalls provide a bombproof feel that performs in a variety of demanding conditions. The slow-rise Freeride Rockered forebody combined with a mid-wide 94mm waist lends float, maneuverability and forgiveness when charging powder and variable snow conditions. Traditional camber underfoot provides power, energy and confident edge grip for strong turns on firmer snow and hardpack. The Legend 94 stands up to the demands of hard charging pros, patrollers and local heroes on every aspect of the mountain providing the most complete one ski quiver on the market.
Features:
- 70% un-groomed / 30% groomed
- RB: Pivot 14 Wide / PX 12 Wide
- Structure: Wood Titanal
- Sidecut: 132-94-118
- Radius: 18
- ALL SNOW ROCKER: A fairly long rocker, progressive only in the tip, for improved terrain absorption and impeccable flotation in powder; Ski pivoting is facilitated, making forward/rearward balance easier and reducing muscular fatigue when off-piste. The flat tail enables skiers to maintain the heel power crucial for high-speed freeriding and off-piste jump landings.
- 3D CONSTRUCTION: The wood core is hollowed out in the center where the stress is less intense and reinforced on the ski exterior, improving power transmission to the edges. The ski is therefore lighter, not only enhancing skiability but also improving performance and control. The titanal top sheet is cut out to respect the shape of the core. Strongpoints: lightweight / grip / ski-snow contact.
- WOOD TITANAL CORE: Traditional sandwich technology of wood and titanal layers guaranteeing precise carving stability and excellent torsion rigidity. The power is provided by two layers of fiberglass whose basic weight (thickness) can vary depending on the model and the desired skiability. The double melamine/phenol sidewalls ensures flexability and power according to the skier's needs in the different phases of the turn.
